The Meriden Humane Society (MHS) is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter and rescue facility. What this means is that the help, resources, and care come from the community. Without the monetary or resource donations by the community, the animals that call MHS their home would be in trouble. On average medical bills alone are $100,000 per year. That is without food, health supplies, and spay/neuters that the MHS provides for animals.
Jordan’s Way is a fundraising opportunity started by Kris Rotonda to honor his rescue dog Jordan. Their mission is to share meaningful welfare stories to inspire others to adopt. Their way is to fund the underfunded. On July 21, 2023, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. EST, the Meriden Humane Society will participate in a Live Facebook stream to promote the shelter and accept donations. During the Live Facebook stream, volunteers and MHS adoptable animals will participate in various activities throughout the premise to promote shelter education and ask for donations.
