Through the help of generous donors, this fall MHS was able to have our friends over at Cornerstone Fencing in Meriden install a fenced in free run area for our dogs. While our dogs have always gotten spoiled by our staff and volunteers in our back kennel area, this new area was like a "Christmas and Birthday present" for them all at once!!
The new free run area is in the front of our building at 311 Murdock Ave and is 40 feet wide and almost 90 feet long! Our dogs and handlers love this new area and look forward to using it often to give our pups a chance to run out some energy, do some training, or meet new friends or new family members. We are so excited to let our canine family members enjoy this new area. Here are some pictures of the fun we are already having!
The dogs featured below starting at the upper left are Emma, Montana (adopted), Bailey. Lower row: Emma, Freckles, and Freckles. If you are interested in learning more about these fun loving pups or looking to adopt, please visit our Adoptables page.
Please Note: This run is specific for Meriden Humane Society use and is not open to the public.
